Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of the website run by the United Michigan Muslim Association ("UMMA", "we", or "us"). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Use of the site
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Submit false or misleading information on any form.
- Try to disrupt the site, access it without permission, or harm its security.
- Copy or reuse site content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Program and event registration
When you register for a program, camp, or event, you must give accurate information. Space is limited, and registration does not guarantee a spot until we confirm it. We might place you on a waitlist. Each program can have its own rules, schedule, and code of conduct, and you agree to follow them.
We might change, reschedule, or cancel a program. When we cancel a paid program, we contact registered participants about refunds or other options.
Donations and purchases
Donations and shop orders go through third-party payment processors, such as Zeffy and PayPal. Their terms also apply to your payment. Donations are generally non-refundable. Contact us within 14 days if you made a donation in error. Ask your tax advisor whether your donation is tax-deductible.
Assumption of risk
Some programs include physical activity, travel, or outdoor events. You take part at your own risk. A parent or guardian accepts this risk for a participant under 18. Some programs ask you to sign a separate waiver.
Content and intellectual property
UMMA owns or has permission to use the text, logos, photos, and videos on this site. You can share links to our pages and our event flyers for non-commercial purposes. Do not change our logo or imply that UMMA endorses you without our permission.
Third-party links
This site links to other websites, such as payment processors, partner organizations, and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimer
We provide this site "as is". We try to keep information such as prayer times and event details accurate, but we do not guarantee it. Confirm important details with us directly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, UMMA and its staff and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages that come from your use of the site or our programs.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information.
Governing law
The laws of the State of Michigan govern these terms.
Changes to these terms
We might update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
